Responsibilities

The Project Manager DDC will manage complex  Medical Device product development projects according  to agreed scope, budget and time schedule.

Key responsibilities for the Project manager DDC:

Project management

  • Create, Execute and revise project works plans to meet changing needs and requirements in reference to the scope of the project
  • Manage and monitor day-to-day progress and efficiency of projects
  • Identify required capabilities and recources in support of the project scope and deliverables
  • Manage the costs, investments and execution timeline of project
  • Control and coordinate all relevant Project Resources
  • Review deliverables prepared by the team before passing to customer
  • Use Project Management tools as directed by Manager DDC in line with Corporate Best Practices

Customer and Supplier relations:

  • Manage day-to-day customer interaction
  • Set and manage customer expectations
  • Initiate scope change request within appropiate
  • Identify customer needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
  • Manage project investments and execution with suppliers in cooperation with purchasing
  • Ensure smooth transfer of the product from Development to Industrialization and Production

Quality:

  • Ensure all project and quality documentation are complete, current and stored appropriately

Development:

  • Ensure the development of the product is in line with scope, specification and espectations of the customer and in alignment with Phillips medisize Corporat Design Development Process
  • Coordinate the development of engineering data (such as models, drawings, detailing, validation results)
  • Optimize manufacturability of the product
  • Manage the timeline of the development in line with the scope of the project

Finance and Reporting:

  • Management of the Project to agreed budget
  • Prepare quoting material for Sales & Marketing in close collaboration with Cost Estimation
  • Communicate project status to Manager DDC and Customers
  • Present status update as necessary at Executive Project Reviews
  • Prepare and present information at joint steering Committee (JSC) Meetings

Communication:

  • Frequent communcation with project team members
  • Regular project update meetings with customers. 
  • As required communication sales and proposal development process
  • Suppliers in regard to project investments, project progression and new materials

 

 

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • BSc or MSc in Engineering( Mechanical/Physics/Materials/Bio Medical)
  • Formal qualification in project managemetn preferred
  • Medical Device Research and Development from idea to launch
  • Relevand knowledge of ISO 13485 and other applicable standards
  • Windows, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project
  • Technical knowledge of plastic molding and assembly
  • Relevant production process knowledge
  • Understanding of various cultures and skills to adapt
  • English at Business and Technical proficiency at C1 level
  • Leadership and time management skills
  • Advanced communication skills and negotiation and contractual skills
  • Customer orientation 
  • Time management skills
